(2) Conversion from GS1 DataBar (RSS) / GS1-128 (EAN-128) in GTIN format to EAN format

GS1 DataBar (RSS) or GS1-128 (EAN-128) data read in the GTIN format (16-digit with AI “01”) can be converted

to the EAN format if the conversion is enabled.

The conversion provides two choices--13- or 14-digit EAN formats. The former trims the Application Identifier (AI)

“01” and Package Indicator PI, and the latter, a PI only.

Check digits are calculated again and transferred regardless of the transmission specified.

If the transmission of a code ID mark is enabled in the scanner, the code ID mark of EAN-13 is transferred.
